New 2024-2026 In-Colors Revealed!

Can You Believe it? It will finally be time to shop the New May 2024-April 2025 Annual Catalog starting on May 1st, 2024!

Of course, one perk of being a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator is ordering during the Demonstrators Preorder Sale. This gives us the opportunity to try out these products before they are released for sale to everyone else, so that we are able to create sample projects to inspire you! All this and my discount, makes this a very happy time of the year for me!

 I live in the county and when I moved here, I tried to create my own Wee Bit of Eden in my backyard by planting so many plants that I thought the birds would love. Some I was successful with, but there were also quite a few I wasn't nearly as lucky with. But birds always flocked to my backyard feeders, bringing me countless hours of enjoyment!

 

 That is one of the reasons I loved the Country Birdhouse Bundle so much when I first saw it. I thought I would use this card as a way to introduce you to the new 2024-2026 In Colors- Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock, Summer Splash, and Petunia Pop! A new Basic Beige Classic Stampin' Pad and 8-1/2 X 11 Cardstock will also be released! (The bluebird was colored with returning In Color Boho Blue)

Just Kiddin' Card 2

 This is my second card using the Just Kiddin' Suite Collection. This cute background can be found in the collection of Designer Series Papers included with the suite.  Although the dies and Stamps will still be available, the complete suite and the Just Kiddin' 12 X 12 Designer Series Paper will be retiring at the end of April.

This card was a very simple card to make. After cutting down the background piece to the appropriate size, all you need to do is add the diecut piece after you have colored it with your Stampin' Blends, add a sentiment on a punched-out shape and you've created an adorable birthday card. There are 10 Natural Skin Tones Stampin' Blends (sold in 2-piece combo packs)

Kiddin' Around Birthday Card

• The Kiddin' Around Suite from the mini catalog is just adorable! The bright colors and adorable illustrations are pure joy and are sure to bring a smile to your face.

The two side 12X12" Designer Series Papers that come with the suite depict happy kiddos engaging in all kinds of fun, as well as several designs with colorful stars, hearts and triangles. There are also some fun preprinted background designs to get you started.  

For this project I chose to use two of the colorful pieces of Designers Series Papers to create the wall and the floor. After I colored in my kiddos with the Stampin' Blends, I die cut them out along with the pieces to create the castle, ball and the rug. I glued the rug and the castle down and placed the girl, boy and the ball using dimensionals. The Sentiment was stamped and then adhered with dimensionals also.

Hot Air Balloon 8 X 10 Shadow Box Diorama

Balloon Festival

I thought it would be awesome to create an 8 X 10 Shadow Box Diorama with the Lighter Than Air Suite. We all have favorite things we really enjoy creating with, for me I absolutely love Dies and the dies from the Lighter Than Air Suite make it easy to create this beautiful Balloon Festival. The dies from the Forever Forest Bundle dies were great for creating the forest below.

I started ths project by painting the sky with Balmy Blue Ink and a small Blender Brush. I found that using a light touch achieved the best result. It just depends on how many clouds you want. 

The balloons are all cut from the beautiful 6 X 6 Designer Series that is included with the Lighter than Air Suite. The decorative pieces are cut from Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, and White Cardstock. To give the balloons the appearance of being at different distances, one balloon was glued directly to the background and for the other ballons I used both one Stampin' Dimensional or I stacked two Stampin' Dimensionals together. I was very pleased with the results. For the trees I used the largest tree die from the Forever Forest Bundle. I adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Hills of Tuscany! 

The Hills of Tuscany Stamp set is perfect for Simple Stamping (CIS= Cards Ink Stamps). This is a great way to create a beautiful card without a lot of other tools. This method is also great for those just starting their journey with card making. 

I started by stamping the largest hill first and working upwards. The Distinctive Stamps from the Hills of Tuscany stamp set gives your stamping a watercolor effect making it look like it was actually hand painted! 

The Pretty Peacock and Gold Ribbon adds a bit of elegance and sparkle to your card. The 5' piece of ribbon is glued on by using tear tape on the back and the bow is made with the 2-1/2 " piece tied in an overhand knot. Trim it to your liking. Affix with glue dots.

 The Bright and Beautiful Sute comes with everything you need to create a card for every celebration!This suite comes with the Beautiful Balloons Bundle (includes stamps and coordinating dies), Bright and Beautiful 6X6 Designer Series Paper, and the Gold Celebrations Designer Series Paper. 

My first project with this suite was a pink balloon card. The Barbiecore look was purely coincidental. I used Bubble Bath and Melon Mambo Ink to create the balloon and the sentiments.

Just a Note Hot Air Balloon Card

This Suite is so much fun and the 6X6 Designer Series Papers that come with the suite are so cute!  This cloud paper was perfect for my balloon to float across.

Beach Day Layer Card

The Beach Day Bundle is so much fun! Growing up in a beach town, there are many memories made at the beach. From 4th of July celebrations as a kid, body surfing and hanging out with the swim team in my teens, grunion hunts, bonfires, to watching my son grow and also create his own beach memories.

Directions:

Stamp the blue piece of paper with your sentiment in the top right corner. Layer the red then the blue cardstock on the white card, Using the die from the bundle cut off a piece of the Crumb Cake pieces. Use a sponge and sponge the cut edge with Crumb Cake ink. Layering the pieces by glueing the bottom two together and the top two together. Separate the two layers with dimensionals. This will give the sand a bit more dimension. This will also give you a place to tuck in your surfboards. Place the chairs, umbrella, chairs and the seagull where you would like them, and you're done!

Hot Air Balloon Spring Card

 Have you ever taken a ride on a hot air Balloon? So quiet and peaceful moving at the same speed as the wind. The Lighter Than Air Suite brought back memories og the hot air balloon ride that I took. 

i wanted to create a card that looked like a group of hot air balloons floating together. I thought this would be the best with three different layers of balloons. I was very pleased with the finished project. 

The background was made with Boho Blue Ink, a Blending Brush, and a cloud stencil that was included with a Paper Pumpkin kit 2 years ago. (You could also create your own stencil with the cloud die included in the bundle. More information about that in a future post) I diecut two of the balloons out of the Designer Series Papers that are included in the suite. There were so many options to  chose from the choice wasn't easy. I diecut the decorative pieces and the baskets for the balloon out of Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, and Boho Blue cardstock. I also stamped a third balloon and diecut it out. 

The center balloon was glued directly on the card front. The right balloon was adhered with dimensionals. For the left balloon I bought a little spring thingy from Amazon which raised the third   balloon above the level of the left balloon. This also allows the hot air balloon to wiggle making a very fun card.

Beach Day Diorama

 The Beach Day Bundle is great for making home decor items such as this diorama as well as cards.

This 8 X10 frame was the perfect size for this day at the beach.

I started by using a small bender brush and some Balmy Blue ink on Basic White Cardstock to make the background.

The sand is made with Crumb Cake cardstock. They were cut with 3 pieces 3-1/2 X 10 inches, 2-1/2 X 10 inches and one piece 1-1/2 X 10 inches. I used the die for the curved edges. The pieces needed to be run through twice as the piece of paper is larger than the die. I then used a small sponge and colored the edges with Crumb Cake Ink. The layers were then put in place. The first layer is flat on the background with the other two layers put om using dimensionals.

The surfboards are diecut from Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet and Blueberry Bushel cardstock. The trees are diecut from Garden Green and Cinnamon Cider cardstock. The lifeguard tower was made with Lemon Lolly cardstock, The chairs and the umbrella were stamped with Memento Ink and colored in with Blueberry Bushel and Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends and then diecut. The seagulls needed only Memento Ink and to be die cut and placed with Dimensionals. Tuck your trees and the surfboards between the different layers using two dimensionals stacked where needed to keep the pieces level, such as the tree in the foreground. This is a very easy project that makes a great addition to any beach themed room or as a gift for your favorite beach bum.
